Can you please tell us about your venture ‘RozgarKhoj.com’?
To bridge the digital divide, Kaahlian Technology Private Limited (where I am also a Co-Founder) has introduced RozgarKhoj.com. It is an integrated web & mobile-based digital marketplace for entry level and blue-collar job seekers. It has a registered job seeker base of more than two million, spread across 300 locations in India and 1.25 lakh jobs across 150 categories.
RozgarKhoj uses mobile based apps, web and digital technology to reach out to millions of blue-collar job seekers. A multilingual call center, with three major Indian languages, assists job seekers to create their first digital resumes over the voice call. This can be achieved by dialing the call center number. RozgarKhoj helps them find the relevant job opportunities for the choice of their skills and locations.
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
I found that blue-collar job seekers face difficulty to make a CV, to upload their CVs on digital platforms. I found that several recruitment firms were charging fees for their services to help the blue collar job seekers to get a job. So, we started to connect job seekers with the help of a Corporate HR (who also happens to be my friend). But soon we realize that we can not help people at mass level manually, so we decided to leverage the digital technology and made this portal.
What is your business/ revenue model?
We sell our database with corporate as a subscription package. The subscription is available as a quarter, semi-annual and annual package.
How are you different from the competition in your niche? What is your USP?
Most of the job portals cater to the white collar jobs market. Our target audience is entry-level and blue-collar job seekers.
Most of the portals focus on urban areas, while we cater to the urban as well as rural areas.
We provide the job search facility by locality or jobs nearby. For the employers, we provide verified job seekers.
How are you utilizing the technology for your services and make it more user friendly?
With the help of technology, we connect employers with right candidates. Candidates can directly connect with HR without a middle man. Employers can search verified candidates, and job seekers can search nearby jobs according to their skill and knowledge.
What is your vision for your venture ‘rozgarkhoj.com’ in the long run?
Our vision is to become top online platform for livelihood aspirants to connect with employers in unorganized sector by 2022.
What is the biggest challenge that your firm is facing at the moment? How do you plan to overcome it?
Marketing is the big concern for us. We have limited budget and resources, so we can not promote our platform aggressively. But we have plans to raise funds so that we can reach a mass level.
As a business leader, how important is it to accept criticism and feedback gracefully?
It is very important for me to acknowledge people’s feedback and their expectation to figure out how we can provide the services that are user friendly. Through the customer feedback we can improve our product and services as well as we can know the reality about our product.
So, we can say, customer feedback plays a vital role for our services.
